Reception of a delegation from the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ)

Basma Society for Culture and Arts received a delegation from German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ) represented by the Director of the psychosocial Support Program, Ms. Katia, and from Jerusalem, both the project manager Ms. Bara'a , the Director of the Department of Financial Management  Maysa Karkar , and the Gaza Office Coordinator Nura Ashour.
The visit also included ways to enhance future work between the two parties, through networking and cooperation in carrying out activities specialized in psychosocial support for children.

The Society presented its long experience in the implementation of psychological discharge sessions on children through drama, life skills, animation films, big mouth puppet theater, and a series of projects implemented during previous years with its international and local partnerships in the field. The delegation was briefed on many curricula and printed manuals, and multimedia files in this regard.

The society projects also discussed for this year, also highlighted the "Skills of Dialogue and Community Theater" project which funded by UNESCO and considered one of the largest projects in Gaza Strip.

The delegation expressed their admiration for the various achievements and services provided by the Society throughout Gaza Strip, and hoped that the coming days would provide opportunities for joint cooperation. It should be noted that this second visit of the delegation from German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ) which was preceded by a visit from Mr. Kee, Administrator of the Development Cooperation Program, in May 2019.

 


  Basma Society for Culture and Arts is an independent non-profit society founded in Gaza Strip in 1994. Basma society works in the field of culture and  arts, It specializes in theater, drama and psychosocial support, to contribute in the Palestinian community development through the provision of cultural, educational and recreational activities and psychosocial support activities, targeting children, youth and women, including persons with disabilities.
